Medicare Part B will cover 80% of the cost of diabetes supplies (blood glucose monitors, test strips, lancing devices, lancets, control solution, and replacement batteries) for patients with diabetes once they have met their deductible. Most states require generic substitution by law, unless otherwise specified by the patient or physician.
